Who you are contracting with
These terms form an agreement between you and MyCanvasDesign, United Kingdom (support@mycanvasdesign.com). By using MyCanvasDesign you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
MyCanvasDesign is a browser-based graphic design tool available at mycanvasdesign.com. It allows you to create, export, and optionally share designs. The core tool is free with no time limit, no watermarks, and no account required.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice where possible.
Acceptable use
You may use MyCanvasDesign for any lawful purpose. You must not:
- Create, store, or share designs that contain illegal content, including content that is defamatory, obscene, or that infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
- Use the service to distribute malware or phishing content.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service.
- Use automated scripts to generate share links or submit templates in bulk.
- Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it for others.
We may block access for any violation of these terms without notice.
Your content and intellectual property
You own your designs. Anything you create using MyCanvasDesign belongs to you. We claim no rights over your work.
By using the Share feature or publishing a community template, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (and, for templates, to other users who browse the gallery). This licence ends when the content is deleted or expires.
You confirm that content you upload or create does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or other right.
Community templates & Safe Harbor
Templates you publish are submitted for moderation before appearing in the public gallery. Templates are published anonymously — no author name or account is associated with them. By publishing a template you confirm you have the right to share it and that it complies with the acceptable use policy above. We may remove templates that violate these terms without notice.
DMCA & Copyright: MyCanvasDesign acts solely as a passive conduit for user-generated content. We do not manually review every community template for copyright infringement prior to publication. If you believe your copyright has been infringed by a community template, please email a takedown notice to support@mycanvasdesign.com including the URL of the template and proof of copyright ownership.
Supporter payments
Supporter subscriptions and one-off payments are processed by Polar (Polar.sh), who acts as the merchant of record. This means Polar — not MyCanvasDesign — is the seller of record and handles all VAT and billing compliance.
- Subscriptions — billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time via your Polar customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Right to cancel (UK/EU consumers) — you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, email support@mycanvasdesign.com within 14 days.
- One-off payments — non-refundable except as required by law or within the 14-day cooling-off period.
- Supporter features — 4× resolution PNG/JPG export and editable PDF import are activated after your license key is issued by Polar. If activation is delayed, contact us.
- License key usage — your license key may be activated on up to 5 devices simultaneously. Sharing your key with others is a breach of these terms.
- Service limits — cloud saves are limited to 10 saves per license key, shared across the Canvas Editor and Flows tools. Up to 5 devices may be activated per key at any one time.
- Prices are in GBP and inclusive of any applicable VAT (handled by Polar).
Availability, Data & No SLA
We aim to keep the service available but make no guarantee of uptime. There is no Service Level Agreement (SLA) or guaranteed uptime for any user, including Supporter tier subscribers.
Shared designs and community templates may be lost in the event of infrastructure failure. Always export your work locally — do not rely solely on cloud save or share links for important files. We provide no guaranteed backups of your data.
Anonymous shared links expire after 30 days and cannot be recovered after expiry.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, MyCanvasDesign is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We are not liable for:
- Loss of designs, data, or revenue resulting from use of the service.
- Service interruptions, cloud save failures, bugs, or errors.
- Content published by other users in the community templates gallery.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
