Who you are contracting with
These terms form an agreement between you and Daniel Golding, trading as MyCanvas, United Kingdom (support@mycanvasdesign.com). By using MyCanvas you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
MyCanvas is a browser-based graphic design tool available at mycanvasdesign.com. It allows you to create, export, and optionally save designs in the cloud. The core tool is free with no time limit, no watermarks, and no account required.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice where possible.
Accounts
Accounts are optional. You can use all core features without one. If you create an account:
- You must provide a real email address you have access to.
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure. We use magic links only — there is no password to manage.
- You must not create accounts for others or share account access.
- You may delete your account at any time by emailing us.
Acceptable use
You may use MyCanvas for any lawful purpose. You must not:
- Create, store, or share designs that contain illegal content, including content that is defamatory, obscene, or that infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
- Use the service to distribute malware or phishing content.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service.
- Use automated scripts to create accounts or generate share links in bulk.
- Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it for others.
We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of these terms without notice.
Your content and intellectual property
You own your designs. Anything you create using MyCanvas belongs to you. We claim no rights over your work.
By saving a project or publishing a template you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you (and, for templates, to other users who browse the gallery). This licence ends when you delete the content.
You confirm that content you upload or create does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or other right.
Community templates
Templates you publish are submitted for moderation before appearing in the public gallery. By publishing a template you confirm you have the right to share it and that it complies with the acceptable use policy above. We may remove templates that violate these terms without notice.
Supporter payments
Supporter subscriptions and one-off payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record. This means Lemon Squeezy — not MyCanvas — is the seller of record and handles all VAT and billing compliance.
- Subscriptions — billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time from your Lemon Squeezy customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Right to cancel (UK/EU consumers) — you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, email support@mycanvasdesign.com within 14 days.
- One-off payments — non-refundable except as required by law or within the 14-day cooling-off period.
- Supporter features (extra project slots, higher export resolution) are activated after payment is confirmed by webhook. If activation is delayed, contact us.
- Prices are in GBP and inclusive of any applicable VAT (handled by Lemon Squeezy).
Availability and data
We aim to keep the service available but make no guarantee of uptime. Cloud-saved projects and shared links may be lost in the event of infrastructure failure. Always export your work — do not rely solely on cloud save for important files.
Anonymous shared links expire after 30 days and cannot be recovered after expiry.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, MyCanvas is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Loss of designs, data, or revenue resulting from use of the service.
- Service interruptions, bugs, or errors.
- Content published by other users in the community templates gallery.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
